you have heard the expression "jack of all trades, master of none"? well, i'm kind of in the middle. i have a number of diverse interests that i've pursued to a level beyond an apprenticeship, but haven't yet reached (and will likely never reach) mastery.

i run inoltro digital, a small AI product studio. we build AI products, agents and data platforms with founding teams and companies scaling into AI. from architecture through delivery, and often through hiring the in-house team that takes it forward.

twelve years of experience across monolithic, serverless and distributed architectures. from learning design patterns to leading teams that ship at production scale. comfortable at founder-pace and at enterprise scale.

my philosophy: pick the right tool for the job, not the tool i know best. ship features over perfect architecture. clean, maintainable code with good documentation and testing.

started at Glasgow in 2012 working on assistive technologies for accessibility. then spent 7+ years at MarketingMuggles, growing from landing pages to full-stack applications. at Excellarate, i went deep into microservices and event-driven architectures. at Saavi, cloud-native solutions across serverless and distributed computing on AWS. in May 2024, i started Inoltro Digital to build AI products with founding teams.

for years, perfectionism held me back. i would obsess over architecture, refactor endlessly, and delay shipping until everything felt "just right." the result: burnout, missed opportunities, projects that never saw the light of day.

now, i focus on consistency over intensity and execution over perfection. ship early, iterate often, learn from real-world feedback. small, consistent progress beats sporadic bursts of "perfect" work every time. done is better than perfect.

when i'm not in front of a screen: music (guitar, mostly), comics and long stories across genres, and staying active through sports.

currently learning: startup building, advanced music theory, listening more than i speak.
